I built the paid acquisition infrastructure for Joberty from scratch. No team, no templates, no existing campaigns. Six markets, four ad platforms, and a $55k monthly budget that needed to work. It did.
The Challenge
Joberty is the largest IT job board in the Balkans. The product was solid. The organic growth was real. But paid acquisition was zero. No campaigns, no tracking, no infrastructure. My job was to build everything from the ground up and make it profitable fast.
The market is fragmented across six countries, each with its own language, salary expectations, and platform behavior. The challenge was not just running ads. It was building a system that worked in all of them simultaneously.
- Launch full PPC infrastructure across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and Twitter from absolute zero
- Scale into Serbia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, and North Macedonia at the same time
- Run two separate acquisition loops: B2C for job seekers, B2B for employers
- Reach profitability without a template, a playbook, or a precedent
How I Built It
Started with zero budget, zero data, zero benchmarks. Built out full campaign structures across Google Search, Meta, LinkedIn, and Twitter for all six markets simultaneously. Localized creative, bidding strategy, and audience segmentation per country. Reached 2.8M+ impressions within the first scaling phase.
Built two parallel funnels running at the same time. The B2C loop targeted job seekers and maintained a 5.17% click-to-application conversion rate, more than double the industry standard. The B2B loop targeted companies, driving 247 employers to post 1,974 job ads with a 68% premium tier adoption rate.
Connected the full stack: Intercom for communication, Mixpanel for behavioral tracking, Sendgrid for automated email sequences. Built reporting flows so we could see what was working in real time. Companies averaged 8.0 job ads each. Premium ads delivered $460 in net profit per unit.
